Mommy President (that's me)

Well here we are, my first BLOG and I am going to try to make a point of writing in it too.

Today was my VERY first meeting as thePresiding President of the MOMS Club of Glendroa EAST. It was GREAT !!!

I was very nervous and shook for about half of the meeting and then I finally stopped and relaxed a little. EVERYTHING went better than expected and so I am really PUMPED up about it.

Everything went well and I got LOTS of particapation from the Members attending. You see the MOMS Club General Buisness Meeting is once a month and it really is supposed to be for, "handling buisness". (Imagine that.) BUT previously it had not really been used that way and Members opinions and votes were RARELY done.

I was so prepared I impressed even myself and the members were really happy at how I handled things today. I feel realy good about volunteering myself for this position.

I probably wont be talking about this type of thing in my BLOG always, it is just whats oin my mind for now so I thought I go with it. So what did I do at the meeting? Well here it is: Introduced myself and my philosophy on MOMS CLub, (support MOMS, respect each other and have fun) swore in the new board members and gave out their Pins, spoke a little about Behavoir and Sick policies, handed out a new Scrapbook and supplies to our Scrapbook committee (donated by a friend of mine), voted on Last Wednesday of Month to hold BUisness Meetings, voted on paying fees for the room we use, got MOMS involved with nameing our newsletter and vote was taken to call it, "The Playful Journal", we discussed and decided to adopt W.I.N.G.S as our charity we will be fundraisng for this year, and I was able to get a few volunteers for some open committee positions. I polled the ladies to see if anyone was interested in having a Monthly Group tour of area PreSchools and signed up 4 new members. I really feel like ALOT was accomplished and now all thats left is to just have some fun out there.

Well, I guess there really isn't too much else to say for tonight, but I'll try to check back here often to write more about other things that excite me.
