More Japanese Emoticons I think I've metioned the differences between western emoticons :-) and Japanese emoticons <^_^> but here are a few interesting ones.

Stupid? [ e ]

Am I being dense or something? I just get a white (blank) page. When I check the page's html, there's nothing in the "body".

Cool links [ e ]

Doszila,

顔文字のリンク有り難う!面白い!!!

For you non Japanese readers, Doszila posted a bunch of links to games about Emoticons.  In Japanese they are called Kao Moji which directly translated means Face Letters.  In fact, most Japanese cell phones support e-mail and most of them have a built in shortcut list of 30 or 40 kaomoji.

Of the links Doszila posted, my favorites were this one, to play, pick a size then move your mouse over the things falling down the screen to lock on and press the left button to fire.  You can lock on to multiple things of the same color before shooting for higher points.  Simple but fun.

This one is about Hikky.  Click the links hikky0, hikky1, etc for animated GIFs about Hikky.  Of course you'll need to know Japanese to understand them in detail.  He's even gone so far as to make an editor for them

This one is a flash animation to a popular but very very sad song called daisuki na furutokei or I guess I might translate it as "My Favorite old watch".  It's about a guy that was given a watch when he was born.  It was with him all his life ticking away through all his experiences and when he died it stopped ticking. (いつも聞くと泣いちゃうんだよ!)
