SPAM: People Suck!
SPAM: People Suck! Someone is sending spam through greggman.com!!! Whether they are doing it through my ISP or through some other means I don't know but I just got over 1000 bounced e-mails and with more and more coming and they all have random names @ greggman.com as the sender's address!

I wish there was some way I could for example save all the bounced e-mails, send it to some organization and they could revoke the domains of the places being advertised and throw all the guys in prison! As it is I don't know what I can do about it but not only will greggman.com likely be added to several spam blocking lists but I can't even use my own e-mail because of all the bouncing I have to try to find my one or two valid messages among the hundreds of bounced messaged!!!

UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Spammers suck. If caught, they should be executed!

This might offer some advice regarding similar incidents, taken from the Film Threat website:

They smashed the shitheads who commited the fraud.

Good luck,

spam [ e ]

I get a bunch of bounced spam but it's not going through my server.  It's pretty easy to just forge a "From: " off a valid host, so that's probably what's happening. -- kbibb

Not sending through you. [ e ]

They are not using your ISP or network to send the spam...

What they are doing using your email addresses as the return address. spammers send out millions of spams and not all the addresses are good so it is common for them to use anothers return email address so an inocent victim get the bad emails.

Spammer information [ e ]

I am one of the lucky people to get spammed, supposedly from Paige@greggman.com.  Thanks for putting this page up because it lets me and others know it wasn't you.  I have some information that might be helpful.  My server has gotten all kinds of probes from mainland China (.cn domain).  In May, I brought a new domain online and had just had it up a short time when someone sent spam from Paige@greggman.com referring me to a site in China that is supposed to solve everyone's money problems.  The guilty site is www.wuyi-city.com which according to whois was just registered on 07-may-2003.  Here's the whois information:

  Domain Name: WUYI-CITY.COM
  Registrar: BIZCN.COM, INC.

Registrant Contact:
  tom
  tom ddy tom tom@yahoo.com.cn
  35634653 fax: 34563464
  tom
  sichun sichun 200000
  cn

[same for Administrative, Technical, and Billing contacts].

The message also gives another contact -- if you no longer want to be contacted.  That domain is every-helpu.com, created on 30-apr-2003.  The whois information for that domain (also in China) is:

  Domain Name: EVERY-HELPU.COM
  Registrar: BIZCN.COM, INC.

Registrant Contact:
  tina
  lyg rjte fete@hotmail.com
  88888888 fax: 88888888
  shanghai
  sh sh 200041
  cn

[so -- does this mean your site was Shanghaied? ].

If you want more information, post an e-mail address here (hopefully no spam software will pick it up) and I'll send more.

Spam Law Website [ e ]

Gregg, interesting site you've put together!

My website got spam saying it was from greggman.com, giving the websites appearing in the message below (every-helpu.com and wuyi-city.com).

I don't know what someone in Japan can do against spammers from China, but there is a good website on spam laws at http://www.spamlaws.com that people might want to track for general info.

If anyone seeing this uses one of the "BIG" American ISPs like AOL or Earthlink, complaining to them might at least get those sites blacklisted.  I've heard that AOL and MSN/Hotmail are sharing their lists of spam sites too.
