Check it out, my friend Colin made bread in a Rice Cooker!. It actually turns out there's a bunch of things, soups, cakes, etc.. you can make in a rice cooker. I ordered a fewbooks on it from Amazon Japan.
They show you how to make bread in a rice cooker in the last (I think?) episode of Yakitate Japan. I thought it looked really good ^_^ What kind of texture does it have, I wonder?

Oh, so you can cook BREAD in a rice cooker.... [ e ]
Man, I can't even cook RICE in a rice cooker. It gets stuck to the sides, then I get mad, everything goes black and I wake up in jail with blood on my shoes.
I read about the 'cooking bread in rice cooker' from my mom, who also claimed that you could cook a cake. I didn't really believe her until I read Yakitate Japan in manga form, translated by snoopycool. I tried it out a few months back, and surprisingly it tastes pretty good, although I forgot to add more water, which made it pretty dry. It's a nice thing to do if you've got time to spare, or just plain bored.
