i think i posted this a looooong time ago, before i came to japan.
the question is, I just updated my girls pc with win xp, but the problem is, shes not truly up to speed with the english parts. Is there a way i can change the entire setup from english to japanese? not just the IME Input  but everything from "START" to names of folders etc.
cuz yea, dont really wanna go out and buy a new copy.
thanks big grin

no, effctively there is no way you can change the language.

Supposedly Microsoft makes a "langauge pack" but they only make it available to large international corporations. If you happen to work at a large international corporation you might try asking your IT department. Otherwise you're out of luck on XP.

Not that this is helpful but if you have a Mac, Macs let you switch languages per user for the entire OS. (menus, dialogs, etc).
