Some Weird Potato Chips.. Hello! i will tell you a short story, of why i'm here writing this comment ^^ when i was a young boy and dragon ball were on tv, i was a freak of that anime, so in a type of black market (LOL) i found a VHS with some rare episodes of Dragon Ball GT so, i was really excited about and when i get in home i was watching the episodes but i didint understand anything of them cus they were in japanese filmed directly from the TV.... so they got commercials and all thatn stuff withoout cut them and everything... so, my question is this do you guys remember a brand of potato chips (i wonder they were potato chips) that the commecial were two weird guys coming from the inside of the bag and start to dance and all dressed in white i think it was something like 4/8 (the name of the brand) or 5/8 y really dont remember so i want to look that commercial again cause i really love it it makes me laugh so hard... so can you help me guys?? well... thank you, if you read the whole thing ^^ ps: i'm from mexico, so please forgive the bad english my email is didier.av(at)gmail.com if you find anything of that commercial or you know something about thankyou again!! posted by DidierMarch 21, 2007 at 20:56 [ e ]

Cool Glad to see that I wasn't the only one intrigued by the vast variety of chips available in Japan.  I moved here about 2 weeks ago and have found Miso soup flavoured chips, curry, beef, and some other good stuff that I don't know what it is (can't read the kanji) but it is mighty good.  Add the chips to a candy bar I found last night called "Crunky" and you have all you need to "get crunk"! posted by DJJune 9, 2007 at 2:02 [ e ]

Horseradish? When I lived in Japan about 14 years ago, my favourite chip was some sort of horseradish flavoured variety. The bag was light green I think and it had a cartoon sketch of a cow and a radish. Horseradish steak maybe? I wanna share Indian curry recipes I am a Japanese girl, and apart from Japanese dishes I also love Indian curry. I knew how to make Japanese curry, but I did not know about how to make Indian curry. Hey I'd like to try those Indian style chips... ... where can I get them? I'm an Indo-jin working here in Tokyo, on & off. I miss spicy home flavours... sorry to say but "Curry" is as Indian as Chop Suey... but that's the face of Indian food that the world sees FYI, we *NEVER* eat "Curry" at home. And by "we" I mean Indians, not just me. In fact the word itself is a corruption of a "soup"(for want of a better translation?) made from chickpea flour with fried spiced curd added - called 'Kadhi' - tough to pronounce for the average Anglophone, I guess?! What I've rarely seen done outside India, is frying the spices in crackling oil, before adding them to whatever is being spiced - by not doing that, to the Indian tongue, the 'uncooked' spices are discernible, destroying the authentic Indian taste. posted by anonymouseMay 13, 2008 at 3:26 [ e ]
